No one was injured following a fire Wednesday evening in northwest Winnipeg.
At around 5:50 p.m., crews responded to a single-family bungalow in the 300 block of Leila Avenue, between Aikins Street and Salter Street.
When they arrived, smoke was coming from the house. Firefighters quickly fought the fire from inside, declaring the fire under control about a half hour later.
Everyone evacuated safely, while crews rescued two cats from the home.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, caused by an electrical malfunction.
