On Aug. 29 ICE investigators took custody of the package and examined its contents. The investigation revealed that the package contained a sex doll designed to resemble a pre-pubescent child. Further inquiries led to the identification of a suspect and uncovered that, between October 2023 and August 2024, the suspect had ordered several similar items.

Following this discovery, investigators obtained a search warrant. On Sept. 4, the warrant was executed at a residence in Fort Richmond. During the search, approximately 20 anatomically correct female dolls were found, ranging in appearance from newborn to early teenage years. The search also revealed clothing and accessories intended for the dolls, and some of the items had been physically altered from their original state.

A 45-year-old resident of Winnipeg was arrested at the scene. He faces charges of possession of child pornography, importing and distributing child pornography, and possessing child pornography for the purpose of distribution or sale. The man remains in police custody.
