A fast-moving Alberta clipper is expected to bring damaging winds to southern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba on Saturday, according to Environment Canada.
Winds of 60 to 70 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 100 km/h, are forecast to develop by midday Saturday.
The strong westerly and northwesterly gusts will persist through the afternoon before easing by Saturday evening.
Environment Canada warns that these winds may cause damage to buildings, such as shingles and windows, and could lead to power outages and fallen tree branches. Loose objects may also become dangerous projectiles.
Last week, another system brought winds upwards of 90 km/h, resulting in power outages which affected over 25,000 customers across southern Manitoba.
