A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Chief Peguis Trail and Gateway Road Wednesday night around 7:30 p.m.
Winnipeg police found a 34-year-old female pedestrian with serious injuries and officers administered emergency care until the woman was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The 26-year-old male driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. They are asking anyone with information or relevant video footage to contact the Traffic Division at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 or visit winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
