Early Saturday morning, Winnipeg firefighters responded to a blaze at a multi-family building in the 600 block of Flora Avenue.
Crews found smoke coming from the structure and entered the building to battle the flames from inside to bring the fire under control.
Most residents were able to evacuate on their own. However, firefighters assisted two individuals from the building. Paramedics assessed both people on-site, but neither required hospital transport. No other injuries were reported.
Emergency Social Services is providing support for displaced residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and damage estimates have yet to be determined.
