Siloam Mission expecting to serve 700 meals at annual Christmas lunch

Siloam Mission is opening the doors for the annual Christmas Holiday meal today. 

The event brings staff, volunteers, and community members together for a delicious traditional Christmas meal. “Today is the holiday meal,” said Julianne Aitken, Siloam’s Director of Services. “From 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., the community comes and goes. We get lots of volunteersand people from the community who come and have an amazing meal.”

As everyone is gearing up for the event, Aitken said the atmosphere is really positive. 

The Christmas meal is one of the busiest and most cherished events of the year, expecting to serve lunch to nearly 700 community members experiencing poverty and homelessness.
