Police have made an arrest in connection with recent antisemitic graffiti incidents.
The Winnipeg Police Service will release information about the arrest regarding graffiti in the Charleswood area at a news conference this afternoon.
Police did not state in a media advisory where exactly the graffiti was.
Several swastikas were spray-painted onto a Charleswood community centre and surrounding buildings over the final days of Hanukkah.
Brent McNeil, president of the Westdale Community Centre, previously told the Free Press he came across at least five of the symbols, painted along with the initials “M.K.Y.,” on doors and walls around the building on the morning of Jan. 2.
He said swastikas and “MKY” were spray-painted on the building last month and cleaned up by the city within 24 hours.
