Winnipeg Police are seeking the public’s help in the city’s 13th homicide of the year after a man was found shot at a North End residence Friday evening.

At around 8:45 p.m., General Patrol members, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, were called to the report of a man who had been shot in the 600 block of Flora Avenue.

The victim was located at a nearby residence. Police performed emergency medical care for a serious gunshot wound, and the victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Police said Bill Brian Duck, 28, later died from his injuries. Duck was a member of God’s Lake Narrows First Nation but had recently been residing in Winnipeg. Family notifications have been made, and investigators from the Homicide Unit are seeking public assistance.
