The Winnipeg Jets were eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs Tuesday night, falling 6-3 in Game 5 of their first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Winnipeg Jets have been eliminated from the NHL playoffs with a 6-3 loss in Game 5 of their first-round series with the Colorado Avalanche.

The teams were tied 3-3 in the third period but a pair of goals from Colorado’s Mikko Rantanen and an empty-netter from Josh Manson provided the winning margin.

The Avalanche won the best-of-seven matchup in five games after losing the series opener 7-6.
