EYE ON CRIME: Crime Stoppers asks for public’s help to find suspects in shoplifting, theft

Winnipeg Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating suspects wanted in shoplifting and a theft from a vehicle. To help generate tips, Crime Stoppers released photos.

An unknown person attended to a retail store in the 1300 block of Pembina Highway on April 24, and began to select and conceal merchandise on their person, Crime Stoppers said. The suspect then began to exit the store with the stolen merchandise when they were approached by a store employee. The suspect allegedly produced a knife and threatened the store employee who then backed off, allowing the suspect to flee.

Two unknown persons allegedly broke into the victim’s work vehicle while it was parked in the 200 block of King Street on May 3, and stole his tools. One of the suspects was captured on surveillance footage, Crime Stoppers said.
