46-year-old from Nunavut was homicide victim: Winnipeg police

The Winnipeg Police Service has identified Jack Jacques Kabluitok, 46, from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, as a homicide victim.

The Winnipeg Police Service has identified Jack Jacques Kabluitok, 46, from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, as a homicide victim.

Officers received a report of an injured man on Portage Avenue and Arlington Street at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, police said in a Sunday news release. 

Police found the man on the ground and gave him emergency medical care by applying a chest seal and administering compressions, police said in a Monday news release.

The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said the man was currently living in Winnipeg.
