Woman pushed down, sexually assaulted by man in Richmond West park early Sunday

A woman walking home from a bus stop was pushed down and sexually assaulted by a man in a south Winnipeg park at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police are looking for the man after the sexual assault in Kirkbridge Park in the Richmond West neighbourhood, they said in a news release Monday.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking home from Pembina Highway when she was pushed to the ground by an unknown man, police said.

The man sexually assaulted her before fleeing on a bicycle.
