Missing 13-year-old girl last seen in Portage la Prairie early Friday: Manitoba RCMP

A 13-year-old girl last seen in Portage la Prairie early Friday has been reported missing, RCMP say.

Brianna Whitford-Levasseur, 13, was reported missing to Portage la Prairie RCMP around 11 p.m. Thursday, according to a Saturday news release.

The teen left a home on 11th Street Northwest in Portage la Prairie around 10 p.m. that night, police say. She was seen briefly just after midnight on June 7, but has not been seen since.

Police have conducted extensive patrols of the community, but she has not been found.

The 13-year-old has connections to Sandy Bay First Nation, located about 90 kilometres northwest of Portage la Prairie along the western shore of Lake Manitoba. Information has been shared with the Manitoba First Nations Police Service, which polices that community, RCMP say.

Brianna is described as five feet, six inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. She has shoulder-length hair that is black on top with blue ends.

She was wearing pink shorts, a t-shirt with the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog on it, and either purple Crocs or black Converse shoes when she was last seen, according to police.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
