Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI) announced the reopening on Thursday after predicting the work would last until Friday.

The repairs made improvements to both the highway and the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway. Key enhancements involved the installation of new railway tracks, upgraded signals and the widening of the rail crossing, alongside general surface improvements.

Both westbound and eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway were affected.
