Suspect at large, three arrested in woman’s slaying

Homicide detectives have arrested three people in the slaying of a 28-year-old woman this month, while another suspect remains at large.

Devon Charlie Colomb, 26, is wanted for accessory to murder in the death of Ashley Isabella Murdock, of Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation (Jackhead), who was found dead in an apartment complex on the 300 block of Kennedy Street on July 5.

The Winnipeg Police Service warned Friday he shouldn’t be approached. Police ask anyone with information about his location to call detectives at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477.

Police said that detectives confirmed Murdock was reported missing on July 3 and had last communicated with family and community members on June 26.

Detectives think she was killed elsewhere and her body was moved to the Kennedy Street apartment.

Kelly Marie Kroeker, 32, was charged with second-degree murder on Thursday. Kenneth Walter Young, 28, and Charles Harold Wood, 38, were charged with second-degree murder on Monday and Sunday, respectively.

They remain in custody.
