EYE ON CRIME: Crime Stoppers asks for public’s help to find suspects in break and enters, attempted auto theft

Winnipeg Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating suspects in a string of commercial break and enters and an attempted auto theft. To help generate tips, Crime Stoppers released photos.

Throughout the month of July, an unknown person is believed to have been responsible for numerous commercial break and enters city-wide with stolen vehicles being used to facilitate these crimes, Crime Stoppers said. Surveillance video from several crimes has been obtained.

An unknown person attended to the back lane of 400 block of Besant Street in a stolen vehicle on July 7 and allegedly attempted to steal another vehicle but were scared off by area residents. The targeted vehicle sustained over $4,000 in damages during the attempted theft, Crime Stoppers said.
