A 43-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a man found in a West End back lane in September.
Robert Wayne Billings, 56, died in hospital from his injuries after officers found him in the rear lane of the 600 block of Lipton Street on Sept. 11, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release.
Police do not believe the two were known to one another.
The 43-year-old was arrested on Tuesday a few blocks away from where Billings was found, at a residence in the 800 block of St. Paul Avenue. He was detained in custody.
