According to RCMP, a 34-year old man from the RM of La Broquerie is expected to be in court next month where he will face charges of committing indecent acts.

Charges were laid after an alleged July 13 incident that police said took place on Highway 52 between La Broquerie and Steinbach.

Witnesses reported seeing a man expose himself and masturbate in front of them while he was operating a motorcycle on the highway, and witnesses also allege the man at one point grabbed onto a passenger side door handle of a vehicle that was travelling on the same highway.

According to RCMP, one witness who called police about the alleged incident was able to provide a license plate number of the motorcycle, and police matched the plate number to a La Broquerie address.

Police went to the man’s home where he was arrested.

The man has since been released, and RCMP confirmed on Tuesday his first court appearance is now scheduled for Oct. 4 in Steinbach, where he will face charges of committing incident acts.
