The pedestrian seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash on Pembina Highway early Saturday has passed away.

Winnipeg Police said Sunday that the 28-year-old male had succumbed to his injuries. Notifications to the family have been made.
It was one of three traffic accidents involving pedestrians that happened Friday evening and early Saturday. One woman was killed and a second men was sent to hospital in critical condition.
At around 4 a.m., police said a man was walking eastbound across Pembina Highway near Adamar Road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service members attended and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.
The adult driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene of the collision and spoke with investigators, police said.
The southbound lanes on Pembina between Adamar and Plaza Drive were blocked off Saturday morning due to the crash, but later reopened.

The Traffic Division continues to investigate the matter, police said.
About two hours earlier Saturday, a 49-year-old female pedestrian was found on the Harry Lazarenko Bridge (Redwood Bridge) suffering from serious injuries. WFPS members attended to the woman who had already succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the woman was lying on the ground of the bridge when she was struck by a westbound vehicle. Notifications to the family have been made, police said.
The bridge was closed temporarily to both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
As well, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Friday, a 57-year-old man was crossing Main Street at Smithfield Avenue “against a red light” when he was struck by a southbound vehicle, police said. Emergency personnel attended and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
In all three incidents, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene of the collision and spoke with investigators.
