Construction of the complex began in October 2022 and is now complete, offering a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The project is a collaboration between the Manitoba government and Paragon Living, a leading multi-family developer in Winnipeg.

Nigel Fergus, president of Paragon Living, highlighted the importance of affordable housing to community development.

“This initiative is a bold step forward in our mission to expand housing opportunities in Winnipeg, making Bridgwater a dynamic and inclusive neighbourhood for everyone,” Fergus said. He further noted that the project reflects Paragon Living’s commitment to creating inclusive communities.

The Manitoba government contributed $348,000 under the National Housing Strategy through the Canada-Manitoba Housing Agreement, specifically to create the 18 affordable units in Bridgwater.

Paragon Living, founded in 2008, has been a key player in Winnipeg’s housing market, with infill and multi-family projects valued at over $250 million. The completion of this complex adds to their growing portfolio of developments in the city.

The units are now available for occupancy, marking a significant addition to the housing options in the Bridgwater area.
