Winnipeg’s beloved tradition, The Original Pancake House, has opened its latest location on Taylor Avenue at the Grant Park Festival. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to quality, the restaurant continues to serve families, business professionals, and students alike.

Established in 1958 by Wally Guberman, The Original Pancake House quickly gained a loyal following at its first location on Pembina Highway, now closed. Its success led to further expansion across the city, with the Taylor Avenue restaurant being the newest addition to this Winnipeg staple.

The Original Pancake House’s reputation extends beyond the city limits. Canadian Living Magazine recognized the restaurant as one of the top seven pancake spots in Canada, noting their signature Giant Apple Pancake was praised as “a serious treat.”

As part of the Manitoba community, The Original Pancake House emphasizes local support. It partners with local suppliers such as Winnipeg Old Country Sausage and City Bread. The restaurant also contributes to various charitable causes, including the Variety Club of Manitoba and the Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.

Grant Park Festival has added some new tenants, including Ara Medical Clinic, the expansion of Grant Park Animal Hospital, and the freshly renovated Sobeys.
