Man beaten and robbed on Main Street

In the early morning hours of Saturday, Winnipeg Police responded to an assault outside an establishment in the 400 block of Main Street, where a man in his 20s was attacked not once but twice and robbed.

The victim was standing outside when he was involved in a fight with an unknown man. The suspect assaulted him on the ground, repeatedly punching and kicking his body before leaving the area. While the victim lay on the ground, a second unknown man approached, kicked him, and stole his personal property.

When police arrived, bystanders identified the second suspect, who was taken into custody. The victim suffered injuries but declined medical attention.

A 25-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with robbery and failing to comply with a release order. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
