Winnipeg Police responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Aubert Street in St. Boniface on Sunday shortly before noon. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s on a balcony suffering from gunshot injuries.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition. Officials said in a release that he has since stabilized, but he remains in serious condition.
Investigators seek assistance from the public, urging anyone with information regarding the shooting or any suspects involved to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or via winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
Police have not released further details at this time.
