Death of man in Black River was homicide, police say

RCMP announce death of 49 year old man in Black River on August 18 a result of homicide. Suspect is in custody and has been charged.

Authorities say the death of a 43-year-old man in Black River, Man., on Aug. 18 was a homicide. 

RCMP found the man’s body at a home in Black River after they got a report that morning about a dead man at the home.

A 33-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death.

Anthony Fagnan was charged Aug. 31 and placed in custody, police said.

Black River is on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg about 120 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
