Crash sends 2 Winnipeg police officers to hospital

Two Winnipeg Police Service officers were taken to hospital in stable condition after a crash involving a WPS vehicle and pickup truck at St. Anne’s Road and Abinojii Mikanah Sunday afternoon.

Two Winnipeg Police Service officers were taken to hospital in stable condition after a crash involving a WPS vehicle and pickup truck at St. Anne’s Road and Abinojii Mikanah Sunday afternoon.

Winnipeg police spokesperson Const. Claude Chancy said while he didn’t have any details about the investigation, it wasn’t a police pursuit.

Winnipeg police posted on X (formerly Twitter), that eastbound  Abinojii Mikanah at Dakota Street and St. Anne’s Road northbound at  Abinojii Mikanah have been closed to traffic until further notice.

Chancy also said the intersection will be closed for the foreseeable future.
