The MLA for Fort Whyte is running to become the leader of the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party.

The MLA for Fort Whyte is running to become the leader of the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party. 

Obby Khan made the announcement Tuesday in a video posted on his Facebook page. 

“I have some super exciting news … I just picked up my application to run for the leadership of the PC party,” he says in the video. 

Khan encouraged Manitobans to pledge a donation through his new website, obbyforleader.ca. 

He is the first candidate to enter the leadership race, which closes on Oct. 15. 

The Progressive Conservatives will elect their new leader on April 26, 2025.
