Manitoba RCMP looking for missing Neepawa-area senior who didn’t return home from afternoon drive

An 81-year-old Neepawa-area man has been reported missing after he did not return home from an afternoon drive, RCMP say.

George Haslen was reported missing to Spruce Plains RCMP shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, Mounties said in a Saturday news release.

Haslen was last seen around 3 p.m. on Friday when he left his home driving his white 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn pickup truck, with Manitoba licence plate BEA 873.

Haslen is described as six foot one and approximately 175 pounds, with grey hair. He was last seen wearing a red plaid flannel shirt, grey pants, a blue hat and winter boots, RCMP said.

Manitoba RCMP released this stock photo showing a truck similar to Haslen’s. He was last seen leaving his home in his white 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn pickup truck, with Manitoba licence plate BEA 873. (Submitted by RCMP)

RCMP and family have searched for him without success so far. Both police and his family are concerned for his well-being because he was not dressed for the cold weather when he left his home, police said.

Mounties ask anyone who sees Haslen or his vehicle to call the Neepawa RCMP detachment at 204-476-7340, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-847 or online at manitobacrimestoppers.com.
