An inmate is still missing after he and another prisoner escaped from The Pas Correctional Centre on Monday night.
RCMP were notified about the breakout around 7 p.m. They recaptured one of the men around 8:30 p.m. with help from Manitoba First Nation Police Service, police dogs and a drone.
The other man, 29-year-old Brandon Anderson, remains at large.
He’s described as six feet tall and 170 pounds. Police say he has a history of weapons offences and is considered dangerous.
Residents are asked to turn on exterior lights, ensure their doors and windows are locked, and to call 911 if Anderson is seen.
