Route 90 expansion: A panacea for traffic jams or a Band-Aid solution?

Ben Farr really likes two things: Doing deep dives into research and his hometown, Winnipeg. He will lean into his twin passions in his new role as CBC Manitoba’s urban living contributor for the Creator Network.

My Hometown will explore life in Winnipeg, how we live, what works, what doesn’t, and how we can make the city better.

In the first edition of My Hometown, Farr investigates the pros and cons of the Route 90 expansion project. Will it ease traffic woes? Is the financial investment worth the payoff for commuters and taxpayers? And for comparison, have lane additions worked in Toronto to reduce drive times?

My Hometown will appear regularly on all CBC Manitoba platforms.
