Silver alert for missing 76-year-old Winnipegger cancelled after man found

A 76-year-old man from Winnipeg’s North Kildonan area, who was the focus of a silver alert, has been found safe, police say.

A 76-year-old man from Winnipeg’s North Kildonan area, who was the focus of a silver alert, has been found safe, police say.

The alert was issued Monday morning after police said the man hadn’t been seen since about 8 p.m. Sunday.

An updated news release was issued Monday afternoon, saying the man was found.

No information was provided on when or where he was located.

The Winnipeg Police Service activates a silver alert when a vulnerable adult is reported as missing.
