Silver alert issued for man last seen in Winnipeg’s North End

Edwin McFadyen was last seen in the Redwood Avenue and Sergeant Tommy Prince Place areas sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, police said in a missing persons alert.

Winnipeg police have issued a silver alert for a missing 60-year-old man.

Edwin McFadyen was last seen in the Redwood Avenue and Sergeant Tommy Prince Place areas sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, police said in a missing persons alert issued Tuesday afternoon.

He is five feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, has short light brown hair that is greying along with a small beard.

Police say he was last seen wearing a brown Nike zip-up sweater with white stripes down the sleeves, black sweatpants, black slider sandals with a red triangle and a white AND1 logo on top of each. He was carrying a white and red cane.

A silver alert is issued whenever a vulnerable adult person is reported as missing.

Anyone with information about McFadyen’s whereabouts is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
