Silver alert issued for missing 76-year-old Winnipeg man

A missing 76-year-old man from Winnipeg’s North Kildonan area has prompted a silver alert to be issued by police.

A missing 76-year-old man from Winnipeg’s North Kildonan area has prompted a silver alert to be issued by police.

George Surmay was last seen around 8 p.m. on Sunday.

He’s described as five feet and four inches in height, with a medium build, grey hair and blue eyes. He was possibly wearing a grey shirt with beige-and-yellow shorts, police said in the alert.

The Winnipeg Police Service activates a silver alert when a vulnerable adult person is reported as missing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police service’s missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.
