A 15-year-old girl who went missing in Thompson on Sunday has been found.

The girl had last been seen at her home in the northern Manitoba city on March 31, RCMP said in a news release on Thursday, in which they asked the public to keep an eye out for her and said they were concerned about her well being.

Officers had checked several addresses in Thompson but had not been able to find her, RCMP said at the time, adding they believed she was still in the community 650 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

An updated news release issued on Friday said the girl had been found and is safe, but no details were provided.

A pervious version of this story contained the girl’s name and photograph. They have been removed in order to protect her privacy now that she is no longer missing.
