Assault Peace Officer – Arrest: C24-118535

On May 26, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was contacted by a bystander regarding an assault involving three females outside a business in the 800 block of Main Street.

Police met with the victim, in her 20s, who had some upper body injuries from being punched and kicked but declined medical attention. She reported that her phone was taken during the incident.

The two suspect females were located walking in the vicinity and taken into custody.

A 16-year-old female, under the influence of an unknown substance, became combative and resisted arrest. She assaulted two officers by kicking and headbutting them and refusing to go into the cruiser car.

Police did not require medical attention, and the youth now faces the charges of Robbery, Assault Peace Officer x 2 and Resist Arrest.

She was later released on an Undertaking into the care of an adult when she was sober.

A 20-year-old female is now facing the charge of Robbery (phone located in her possession). She was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.

Police determined that the parties were previously known to each other.
