On May 19, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian at Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard.
Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and transported the female pedestrian to hospital in critical condition, who later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and spoke with investigating officers.
The Traffic Division’s Collision Investigation Section has assumed the investigation.
