Out of safety for neighbouring residents, the immediate area was cordoned off to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. A male and a female were taken into custody, and a loaded shotgun and ammunition were safely recovered. Nobody else present in the suite was injured.
The male was released with no charges, and a 33-year-old female, Tyrenne Raven THOMAS, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regs
This investigation is continuing by the Firearm Investigative Analysis Section (FIAS).
