On April 18, 2024, at approximately 3:18 a.m., General Patrol officers from the North District responded to the report of a seriously injured male in the area of Selkirk Avenue and McKenzie Street.

Police located an adult male outside and immediately began emergency medical care. He was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is asking anyone with information, including possible video surveillance, to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org
