Suspicious Death – Investigation: C24-101746

On May 8, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received information regarding an adult male who had been transported to hospital by ambulance in critical condition from the 300 block of Princess Street on the evening of May 6.

Attending Central District General Patrol officers learned the victim was admitted to hospital with serious injuries sustained in an assault. The victim has since succumbed to his injuries, and his death is being treated as suspicious.

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation and has identified the victim as 35-year-old Kyle BEARDY, originally of St. Theresa Point First Nation, currently living in Winnipeg. Notification to family members has been made, and an autopsy is pending.
