Winnipeg, MB – At 6:25 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half-storey house in the 1400 block of Bannatyne Avenue West.
Upon arrival on scene, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. They entered and fought the fire from the interior, and had the fire under control by 7:40 a.m.
Firefighters completed a search of the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
Damage estimates are not available at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
