Winnipeg, MB – At 3:44 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey house in the 700 block of Burrows Avenue.
Upon arrival on scene, crews found heavy smoke coming from the house. Due to the heavy fire conditions, they launched a fire attack from the exterior. Once conditions improved they were able to enter the structure to fight the fire from inside. The fire was declared under control at 4:13 p.m.
Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
