Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Duffield Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 8:12 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, single-family house in the 300 block of Duffield Street.

Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke coming from the structure. They entered and fought the fire from inside the house, declaring the fire under control at 8:45 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the residence and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported. Firefighters located one dog in the residence and brought it to safety.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
