Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Furby Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 3:31 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey residence in the 600 block of Furby Street.

When crews arrived to the scene, they found smoke and fire coming from the house. They entered and fought the fire from inside. The fire was declared under control at 3:51 a.m.

Firefighters assisted six individuals in evacuating the residence. All were assessed by on-scene paramedics, but did not require transport to hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
