Winnipeg, MB – At 3:17 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-storey, multi-family residence in the 400 block of Maryland Street.
Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke and flames coming from the building. They launched an offensive fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 3:32 p.m.
Crews completed a search of the residence, and no occupants were found. There were no injuries reported.
The fire is under investigation. The building had damage from previous fires in July 2023 and January 2022. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
