Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Selkirk Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 9:14 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-storey house in the 300 block of Selkirk Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke coming from the house. They entered and fought the fire from the interior. The fire was declared under control at 9:35 p.m.

Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
