Winnipeg, MB – At 4:34 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a three-storey townhouse unit on Valade Street.
Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke in one of the units. They quickly launched an interior fire attack declaring the fire under control at 4:54 p.m. The fire was contained to the suite in which it originated.
No one was home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental, caused by an electrical failure in a small kitchen appliance.
