An argument turned violent over the weekend leading to an 18-year-old woman being assaulted at a Westwood home.
At around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the first 100 block of Davis Crescent where they found an 18-year-old suffering from serious upper-body injuries.
She was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
Winnipeg police say the victim got into an argument after consuming alcohol together with another 18-year-old woman. The argument turned violent, escalating into a physical assault, after which police were called.
The women were know to one another.
The 18-year-old suspect is facing a charge if assault causing bodily harm.
She was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
