‘Any tip can be helpful’: Winnipeg police search for answers one year after death of 39-year-old man in Inkster Industrial area

One year later, Winnipeg police continue to search for answers in connection to the death of a 39-year-old man in the Inkster Industrial area. 

On Sept. 20, 2023, officers, assisted by the Tactical Support Team, attended a home in the 200 block of Hazelton Drive, where they located a deceased male victim. He was transported to hospital, where he underwent an autopsy that deemed his death a homicide.

The victim was identified as 39-year-old Sukhdool Singh Gill. 

The investigation is ongoing, and Winnipeg police are asking anyone who knew Gill, including members of the City’s South Asia community, to contact investigators with any information regarding his whereabouts or personal interactions he had before his death. 

“Any tip can be helpful,” said the Winnipeg Police Service in a press release.
