Five people arrested after traffic stop turns violent: WPS

Five people are in custody after a traffic stop turned violent. 

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, officers stopped a Dodge Ram with five occupants near McGregor St. and Alfred Ave. 

All of the occupants were taken out of the vehicle after a fight broke out and the passengers began fighting with each other.

At the same time, officers searched the vehicle, where they located and seized a 12 gauge shotgun, collapsible baton (Prohibited) and 2.6 grams of crack cocaine (estimated street value $220.00).

Three men and two women between the ages of 22 and 48 were arrested. They face a long list of charges.

All were detained in custody.
