Highways close as winter storm rolls through Manitoba

Several highways across Manitoba have closed due to treacherous driving conditions.

Strong winds and a mix of precipitation, including snow and rain, continue to batter western Manitoba leading to the closures.

As of 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, the following highways are closed.

  • Highway 1, from Sidney to the Saskatchewan Border (both directions)
  • Highway 20, from Rd 169 N to Camperville
  • Highway 272, from Hwy 20 to Duck Bay
  • Highway 45, from Town of Russell to Rose burn
  • Highway 482 & 83, from Russell to Saskatchewan Border
  • Hwy 83, from Russell to North of Roblin
  • Hwy 16, Westbound lanes from Fox warren to Saskatchewan Border.
  • Highway 5, Westbound lanes from Dauphin to Valley River
  • Highway 5, Eastbound lanes from Dauphin to Ochre River
  • Highway 10, from Dauphin to Riding Mountain National Park
  • Highway 10, from Dauphin to Sclater
  • Highway 20, North of Dauphin to Hwy 26
