Missing teen from Northern Manitoba may be in Winnipeg: RCMP

Mounties say a missing 13-year-old boy has not been heard from in 10 days since travelling to Winnipeg with friends.

The Manitoba RCMP says in a release that on July 16, 2024, Thompson RCMP received a report of a missing 13-year-old male from Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.

It was reported that Jacoby Francois was with friends and a known adult in Thompson and had travelled to Winnipeg, but no one was able to confirm his whereabouts, or if he had returned to Thompson.

It is believed he may be in Thompson, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House) or Winnipeg.

Officers have attended several residences in those areas but have not located Jacoby.
